Academic Competition Season In Full Swing!
McMillan Math Contest
The Rockgate Lane team of Cooper K. and Ben B. (from Rockbrook), Smith D. (from Westgate), and Mohammad A K (from Prairie Lane) came in 3rd place overall for the 6th grade team division and came in 1st place for the Quizizz competition.
The Swanson Superstar team of Parthiv M., Oliver L., Megan K., and Max R. came in 1st place overall for the 6th grade team division and came in 2nd place for the Quizizz competition.
Congratulations to these mathletes who represented WCS at the competition.

Eight Westside elementary students competed at the ESU 3 Quiz Bowl on Nov. 23. The team consisting Dakota S. from Westgate, Leia K. and Daniel L. from Paddock, and Henry H. from Sunset were tough competitors and made it through 5 close rounds before going out. The team of Will U. and Smith D. from Westgate, Gavin L. from Sunset, and Max R. from Swanson made it to the final four and ended up winning 3rd place overall.
Congratulations to all of these WCS Quiz Bowl competitors.

The entire WMS team consisting of BingYi W., Violet Y., Axel L., Caden M., Zahraa A., and Emily A. placed 2nd place overall.
Violet Y. came in 8th place overall for the 8th grade division and BingYi W. came in 1st as the top 8th grade performer.
The "Sample Text" team of Violet Y., BingYi W., and Caden M. came in 3rd place for the team competition.
