Spring Calendar of Events - NOTE CHANGES!

As we anticipated, Covid cases are on the rise and events are being cancelled and rescheduled as best we can. During the January PTO Board Meeting we made the following calendar changes:

  • We have changed the Sweetheart Swing Dance (February) to the Spring Fling Dance and it will be held on Friday, April 22nd from 6:30-8:00.

  • The Day of Awesomeness has been changed to Friday, April 29th.

In addition, we had to make some changes to Awards Days. Please make note of these changes on the link below.

Our district policies on visitors and masks have not changed. I will be sure to let everyone know if and when that happens.

Covid Updates

We had 123 students absent on Thursday. We had 7 teachers absent, 6 related to Covid. Thank you for not sending your children to school when they are sick.

For those who would like to be aware of the policies being followed by Anderson Five, below is a link to the SC DHEC guidelines for schools. It is very specific and should be helpful to those who would like to be aware of this information.

One change that was made last week - Our district is now accepting home tests for positive results only. However, we still cannot accept a negative home test for a student to return to school.

Morning Drop Off

On very cold weather days we may not ask our Safety Patrollers to be outside. If you notice this, please remember to pull your car all the way up to the first letter for letting your child out.

Please work with your children who have trouble getting out of the car by themselves. If you see that they may need additional time, please pull over and help them by walking them in the front. Thank you!
