The Beggining of the Battle of Yorktown
The battle started in September 28, 1781 and it ended in October 19, 1781. The battle of Yorktown was fought for independence.
The Beggining
In September 28,1781 the British troop where preparing to defend there base in Yorktown, Virginia. George Washington the captain of the Americans where on there way to attack the York town and win independence.
Soilders and Ships
The British trained about 8,000 men to defend there bases but it wasn't enough. The Americans weren't alone they also had the French on there side. the French deployed 32 ships and the there were about 80,000 American soldiers.
The Surrender
Once the Americans deployed there troops the British soldiers had no chance in winning. The British captain sent three letters to George Washington that they surrender.
