Recap: Bite Of Reality
On Thursday, March 23, our entire senior class had the opportunity to discover what "real life" is like, by having to budget their life. Students were assigned various roles and jobs, and with the money that they supposedly earned, the students were to "shop" around to decide what type of services and products that they would purchase, and they had to manage their money wisely. Many of our students went broke, very quickly, after realizing that they spent too much money on unnecessary luxuries. Students enjoyed the event, hosted by LBS Financial Credit Union.
Recap: Prom Fashion Show
During lunch on March 23, our ASB students held their annual Prom Fashion Show, showcasing dresses that our students can borrow from the school, and showcasing tuxes, on loan from Friar Tux. It was a great event! It was announced that the Prom would be at the White House in Anaheim, for Saturday, April 29th. Dance slips are currently available for our juniors/seniors. The theme: Masquerade. The yearbook theme, "Reset," was also announced.
Recap: Walk of Excellence
On Thursday, March 23 during the end of 1st period, we held our Winter/Spring Organization Walk of Excellence, to recognize the teams from the current term. Please see the following document to check out some of the information about our organizations, including about wins and current progress on these organizations.
Cesar Chavez Day
On March 31, we recognize Cesar Chavez Day. This celebrates the birth and legacy of the civil rights and labor movement activist Cesar Chavez, a champion for social justice and advocate for hardworking people who build and sustain our Nation. Born into poverty and raised by migrant workers, Chávez courageously dedicated his life to improving conditions for workers across the country. For more information, visit the Cesar Chavez Foundation website.

Happy Ramadan!
Happy Ramadan to all families that celebrate this holy event within the Muslim community. A Muslim is a person who practices the religion of Islam. Ramadan is celebrated for an entire month, based upon the lunar moon cycle. This year, Ramadan will be from March 22 through April 21. Muslims during this time conduct ritual fasting during the day time, by not eating, and many times, not drinking anything, including water. Muslims fast during the month as a way to commemorate the revelation of the Quran from God to the Prophet Mohammad.
Happy Easter!
Happy Easter to all families that celebrate this holy event within the various Christian communities. Easter is a Christian holiday that celebrates the belief in the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. For many Christian churches, Easter is the joyful end to the Lenten season of fasting and penitence. This year, Easter is on Sunday, April 9th, 2023.
April: Sexual Assault Prevention & Awareness Month
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, otherwise known as SAAM. During this month, people across the United States raised awareness about sexual violence, how to prevent it, and how to support those who are affected by it. The history of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) stems from the early 1970s, when survivors of sexual violence came together and began to speak out against the atrocities they suffered. They held rallies and public speak-outs, and as a result created a movement to end sexual violence. If you or someone you know is in danger in any way due to sexual assault, please speak up and notify a trusted adult immediately. Visit the DEA website for resource directories, or visit the National Sexual Violence Resource Center for details about SAAM.
