Grade 5
September 21st-25th
Thank you Parents!!!
As sugar and flour come together to make a wonderful cookie creation that you bake, parents and teachers join as one to create an educated daughter or son.
Thank you so much for coming to Parent Night. It was great to see you all and take the opportunity to introduce you to fifth grade. I hope you found the night informative and beneficial. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We are looking forward to a great school year. Remember the best way to contact the teachers is through the communication book or email.
We again would like to stress the importance of signing your child's communication book every day.
Unit Of Inquiry
This week we worked on enforcing our theme and central idea by participating in an activity that promotes another line of inquiry.
Using interpersonal skills to act responsibly.
Students worked together in groups to construct an object using K'nex. Students learned how important interpersonal skills are. Interpersonal skills are the life skills we use every day to communicate and interact with other people, both individually and in groups. Interpersonal skills become so natural that we may take them for granted, never thinking about how we communicate with other people. Students are connecting the importance of developing better communication skills, as it can lead to better understanding and relationships.
