Penguin Press News Summer Edition

A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL BAME
Dear LPE Families,
I know that many of you are still in the process of determining whether or not your child(ren) will return to campus in person or attend school through the Virtual Academy. As a parent, I find this to be a difficult decision. In this second Summer Edition of the Penguin Press, we have attempted to put together a one stop location for your research. As we journey through the next few weeks and months together, no matter whether or not you are attending school through a blended format or fully remote, we will continue to share details and plans for the school year. Thank you for your continued patience and support. Our community is strong! #PenguinsPersevere

LP Parents, Mrs. Bame has attempted to answer your questions within this document. As we learn more from the State and District, we will continue to update information. As more questions are brought to us, we will add them to this document.
K-12 families will have the option to choose the WCPSS Virtual Academy if they are not ready or able to return to a school campus.

Updates from Lucky's Library
We are unfortunately not allowed to circulate books to the community right now. Protocols for circulation are being designed. Mrs. LeSueur will send emailed notices in August so parents know what library materials their students have from last year. Please email Mrs. LeSueur if you wish to return books before then (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The district uses the SchoolMessenger notification service to send important information to families through phone calls, email, and text messages. General school news is shared by email and text message. Phone calls are used for urgent school news.
