Become a Pool Board Member
Let me repeat: YOUR pool needs YOUR enthusiasm, YOUR energy, and YOUR ideas to help keep our facility and services tip-top for YOUR family.
We need fresh leadership. Put your name on the ballot to become a pool board member next year!
KMSC needs its membership to provide it with the skills in management, financial accounting, personnel administration, communication, or planning social events to ensure the continued success of its operation.
All officers serve for one-year terms while directors-at-large serve two-year terms:
- Director of Plant Maintenance and Operations
- Director of Personnel
- Director of Communications
- Director of Membership
- Director of the Swim Team
- Secretary –Treasurer
(For descriptions of the positions, check out this page on our pool's website.)
Make a difference in your pool community.
Contact Len Wagman at firstname.lastname@example.org or 301-649-3605 today for details on how you can help steer our pool's future.
You also can get a sense of what the board does for all of us by attending its August meeting, which is expected to be held poolside during the last week of the month. Watch for the date to be announced on our Facebook page!
Elections will be held March 2018 at the annual general membership meeting.
A Message from the President
The KMSC community has, as a member benefit, the opportunity to purchase swim lessons from our wonderful lifeguard staff. Individual lessons are $30, group lessons of up to three swimmers are $45. Although the summer is winding down, you still may arrange one or more lessons for your children by emailing Alyssa Parness at KMSClessons@gmail.com.
For liability reasons, ONLY guards who have been screened as instructors may give lessons at our pool. Under no circumstances may outside instructors be brought in to teach a lesson. While parents are of course welcome to instruct their own children, unauthorized individuals giving lessons will be asked to leave the pool.
