Prophet Margins Worship on Sunday: God Is Not for Sale
We are back to worship times at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sundays as we continue our focus on the Prophet Margins. Please join us and let’s worship together!
Sunday, September 18 | God Is Not for Sale
When we read the stories of the ancient prophets over Israel it’s eerie how similar they sound to the tales and woes of the current world around us. Could the warnings contained in the Book of Amos be pertinent to our current struggles? Amos directs the Israelites toward a glimmer of hope. Does it remain true for us?
Traditional Worship | 8:30 a.m. | Sanctuary
Modern Worship | 11 a.m. | Sanctuary
The recording of each service is available after the livestream.
Holy Communion | Communion will be offered at 9:30 a.m. between worship services each Sunday unless it is the first Sunday of the month. The table is open to anyone who wants to participate. Communion is held during the worship services on the first Sunday of the month.

Enneagram Retreat a Fun, Informative Way to Learn about Yourself and Others
If you plan to participate in our introductory Enneagram gathering on Saturday, October 15, please register as soon as possible. Several more participants are needed or the event will be canceled.
The retreat, set for 9 a.m.-3 p.m., will be a fun and informative time to learn more about yourself and how to relate to others by using the Enneagram.
Description | The Enneagram identifies nine ways of seeing and experiencing the world and describes with amazing accuracy how we think, feel, and act. It is a fantastic tool that helps us see ourselves clearly but also gives us compassion for other people in our lives. This is an introductory workshop that provides an in-depth exploration of each type. It will help people discern their own number and provide insight into how each number approaches work and relationships.
About the Facilitator | Casey McCollum grew up in North Dallas and now lives in Arlington. He has master’s degrees in theology and social work. He was first introduced to the Enneagram in 2006 and has completed a year-long cohort program with internationally recognized master Enneagram teacher Suzanne Stabile. He has also trained with the highly respected Narrative Enneagram group in California. He consults with businesses, nonprofits, schools, universities, and churches, helping them grow their teams and equipping them to better serve their communities.
Cost | Registration cost includes a light breakfast, a boxed lunch, and training materials. Early bird cost is $50 per person if registered by Friday, September 30. Afterward, the registration cost increases to $60 per person.
Contact | Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Register by Friday, September 30, for an early bird rate of $50 per person.
Bible Journaling on Sunday Afternoons
Like to doodle or craft? Discover a new way to spend time in scripture through Bible journaling. An adult Bible journaling group is being created to meet on Sunday afternoons in Fellowship Hall. The group will meet from 1-3 p.m. weekly and those interested can join any time their schedule permits. Participants are encouraged to invite a friend.
About Bible Journaling | Bible journaling uses words and art to help express your faith and to grow your relationship with God. The group will learn different techniques and mediums such as colored pencils, crayons, watercolors, acrylic paints, glitter, stamps, stickers, stencils, fabric, scrapbook paper, washi tape, and more. There is no artistic talent needed to participate.
A suggested Bible journaling book is The Illustrated Words of Jesus for Women. Hobby Lobby and Target carry this devotional for about $10. It is also available for purchase through Amazon.
Get Involved | The group is being facilitated by Julia Sykes. Bring your book and come get started in Bible journaling. Email email@example.com with any questions.

Get Involved | Simply bring your plastic bags and leave them in the designated bin in the Welcome Center. A list of eligible plastics is listed below. Please leave only those plastics that can be recycled.
