Girls on the Run, Heart and Sole
Hey Bidwell Girls! Tuesday is the day to register for Girls on the Run, Heart and Sole. This will be our first day back at school after the 3 day weekend. Please grab a flier if you are interested from the counseling office, wellness center or from Ms. Hansen, Enserro, Long, or Alaniz. If you are looking for a positive way to spend your after-school time, we would love for you to join. No running experience is needed, only a desire to connect and improve! We will practice on Mondays and Thursdays here at Bidwell after school. The season starts February 21 and goes until May 9! We look forward to meeting you. Please grab a flier today to show to your guardians over the weekend so they can register on Tuesday!

Positive Pioneer - Monica Murguia
I nominated Monica Murguia our targeted case manager because she collaborates with parents, students, staff and community members to ensure that our students get the best possible resources available to them. She goes above and beyond to help students who are in need and takes it upon herself to help ALL students feel prepared for success at Bidwell. -Erica Scott
Collaborative Colleague - Adrienne Jimmerson
The person that I picked for the Positive Pioneer award…
Is SUCH an amazing teacher, but is super humble and not showy.
I have gotten to know this teacher over the course of the last few years and she is SOOOO helpful, kind, and fun.
I observed her teaching 6th grade which I had little experience with until we brought them over. It was amazing to see the way she understood this age so well and knew how to give instructions and involve the whole class with her lessons. I learned a lot from observing her. She is an expert at 6th grade.
She is amazing with tech and always answers my dumb questions but never makes me feel dumb. Many times I go to her for tech support first which she never makes me feel bad about even though it’s not her job.
She is super thoughtful and always sends me articles, activities, and links that she thinks will help my students.
She brings new ideas and awesome tech resources to our department.
I teach Success English a writing intervention class and she is always so quick to collaborate with me and talk about specific student struggles and we are able to tag team and work together to get the students the help that they need.
When I talk to her about a student that we share, she always knows the student really well even though she has such full and busy classes.
I watched her complete her master’s degree while working full time and being a very involved and great mom to her kids. She is soooooo smart and hard-working. Hardly anyone knew that she was doing all of this because she is so humble, professional, intelligent, and positive in the face of the crazy years we have been through.
I would like to acknowledge Adrienne Jimmerson!
