Who were the first accusers? What happened that made them start to accuse people? What are the explanations for their behaviors?
Elizabeth, age 9 and niece Abigail Williams, age 11, the 2 of them started to have fits they also screamed and threw things, uttered peculiar sounds and themselves into strange positions. Ann Putnam, age 11 experienced similar episodes on February 29 under pressure from magistrates Jonathan Corwin and John Hathorne.
Who did they accuse?
The 3 girls blamed three women for afflicting them, Tituba, a Parris' Caribbean slave, Sarah good, a homeless beggar, and Sarah Osborne, an elderly impoverished women.
What was used as evidence to show someone was a witch?
The 3 women were brought to the local magistrates and interrogated for many days. The people started to interrogate them on March 1, 1692. Sara. O had claimed innocence, as good. But Tituba confessed, "The Devil came to me and bid me serve him." She described elaborate images of black dogs, red cats, yellow birds and a "black man" Who want her to sign his book. Ttuba admitted that she signed the book and sad that there were several other witches looking to destroy the puritans, all 3 women were put in jail.

It proved that witches cant say the entire prayer which proved that he was not a witch but they killed him anyways.
Why might the economy of Massachusetts have caused the hysteria?
Its because of the amount of insentient people that were killed not even being a witch.
