Greenglass House by Kate Milford
A rambling old inn, a strange map, an attic packed with treasures, squabbling guests, theft, friendship, and an unusual haunting mark this smart middle grade mystery in the tradition of the Mysterious Benedict Society books and Blue Balliet’s Chasing Vermeer series.
It’s wintertime at Greenglass House. The creaky smuggler’s inn is always quiet during this season, and twelve-year-old Milo, the innkeepers’ adopted son, plans to spend his holidays relaxing. But on the first icy night of vacation, out of nowhere, the guest bell rings. Then rings again. And again. Soon Milo’s home is bursting with odd, secretive guests, each one bearing a strange story that is somehow connected to the rambling old house. As objects go missing and tempers flare, Milo and Meddy, the cook’s daughter, must decipher clues and untangle the web of deepening mysteries to discover the truth about Greenglass House-and themselves.

The first is called Julian's Chapter which is an additional chapter to Wonder in which we get to see things from Julian's (the bully of the story) perspective. Since so many fans wrote in to ask why Julian doesn't have a chapter in the book, Palacio wrote one.
The second is called Pluto which is a short story in which readers get a peek at Auggie's life before Beecher Prep told entirely from the point of view of Christopher, Auggie's oldest friend.
I am eagerly awaiting the release of Shingaling the third story which will be released on May 12th. In this story, we will get to read about life as a fifth grader at Beecher Prep through the eyes of Charlotte, the girl who had been chosen to be one of Auggie's "welcome" buddies.
Julian's Chapter & Pluto are currently only available as ebooks which we have on our Nooks in the library. You can come by and check one out today! Shingaling will be available on May 12th as an ebook only.
