CONGRATULATIONS OUR FIRST COMMUNION CHILDREN

Thank you for your support on Sunday when we had 13 children celebrate their First Communion. It was so lovely to come together as a faith community to witness their sacramental journey.

To Zion, Zaraia, Fatu, Emma, Molly, Edith, Roen, Isabela, Bailey, Amelia, Valentina, James, Koen - welcome to the next stage in your sacrament journey... we have enjoyed seeing the growth in your faith.

SICKNESS AROUND THE SCHOOL

Thank you for your understanding in regards to keeping our school children and staff healthy and well for the last few weeks of the term. We have so many wonderful things planned and we are all working to get on top of the different illnesses we have including Covid.

As of this morning we have 5 children and 3 staff who have tested positive for Covid. If your child becomes unwell at school we will be in touch with you to please come and pick them up. If your child has Covid symptoms we recommend testing them prior to coming to school. If you require any RAT tests we have some spare available in the school office.

AMAZING SUCCESS

Congratulations to these wonderful learners/ākonga below. They have worked so very hard this year to achieve Stage 7 on the Basic Facts ladder - and now moving to the final stage:

Mika, Eleanor, Leiana and Charlotte - Jane we are very proud of you!

Champions League
Our Lady of Lourdes suffered an agonising 1 - 0 defeat to St.Mary’s in the Champions League Football Final last week. To be fair, St. Mary’s dominated the game and thoroughly deserved their victory, but we never gave up, showing a tonne of perseverance and resilience!! Player of the day was Milo for trying to link defence and attack together. Thanks to all our fans who came to watch and who outnumbered the St. Mary’s supporters by far!! Thanks also to Nick Wilson for the mighty van and Mrs Sheehan for transporting us down. We’re looking forward to bringing the trophy back home in 2023!
