The Pizza Posse Returns

Students achieving the highest MAP math and reading score at each grade level along with the top math and reading growth were visited by the Pizza Posse! A special shout-out to Obie's for making all of the pizzas for us!

Mrs. Hale's Annual Kindness Initiative

The Kindness Initiative focuses on students becoming aware of what the meaning of being kind is and how to recognize it. Mrs. Hale randomly chose a student from each of the classes, 4th - 6th grades, for a total of 10 different students each week.

These students then became "secret agents". As an agent they watched for acts kindness (which was not hard). After that, they brought in the student or staff member for a small prize.

On February 21st, the initiative concluded with a small party for all who participated. They enjoyed cookies, drinks, and books for them to choose from, as well as a drawing for movies and pizza.

Students in kindergarten through 3rd grades had the opportunity to earn a purple "Pat on the Back" from Mrs. Hale, as well as a new book. Those students were also be invited to the final party.

Golden Ruler

Congratulations to Amy Mackiewicz for being selected by her peers as our Golden Ruler this year!

Amy is a bright spot in our office. She happily greets all staff members, visitors, and students. Even through working short staffed in the office this year, Amy has never complained once about it. She is a staple in keeping our building running smoothly. I can truly say that Amy puts the best interest of our students first and deeply cares about our school!
