Football
Southport traveled to Columbus North to face a tough Conference Indiana opponent. A late field goal from Columbus North sent the Cards away with a loss, 29-32.
The Cards came off of the Sectional Bye Week to face Perry Meridian on the 28th. The team was victorious 20-13 and will host Warren Central for the Sectional title on Friday, November 4th.
Boys Soccer
The boys drew Roncalli as their sectional opponent. It was a tough evening for the Cards. They dominated play but did not come away with the win.
Girls Soccer
The Cards drew Decatur Central as their sectional opponent. The girls were not victorious but have plenty to be proud of this season having earned the most wins in the program's history.
Erin Sullivan earned All Marion County and All Conference Indiana recognition.
Boys & Girls Cross Country
Both teams traveled to Brebeuf for the Marion County meet. The Cards had a strong showing from several runners. Erin Sullivan, Lexie Green, and Michael Crook earned All Marion County honors.
The Sectional meet was held at Franklin Community. The boys team placed 2nd with a solid showing from all runners. The girls team won the meet with Erin Sullivan winning the race and breaking the school record. Lexie Green finished 2nd and Bella Green 4th for the Cardinals. Both teams advanced to the Regionals.
At the Regionals, Erin Sullivan again broke the school record. Lexie Green finished second. The team finished 2nd overall to advance to the Semi-State. The boys finished 3rd overall with Michael Crook finishing below 16 minutes. The boys advanced to the Semi-State as well.
The Cards did not move past the Semi-State. The school is extremely proud of the hard work the boys and girls put in throughout the summer and season.
Girls Volleyball
In Sectionals, the girls took on Brebuef on Thursday night. They were defeated but showed great class.
Girls Basketball
Seniors Emma DeHart and Jaelencia Williams announced their decisions to play collegiately. Emma will play for the University of Southern Indiana. Jaelencia will play for IPFW. They will sign their National Letters of Intent on November 10th in the Cardinals Nest.
