HPE Student Book Fair! November 30-December 2
The book fair is coming soon to Highland Park Elementary! Below you will find important book fair info :
Students are able to shop during the school day on the following dates:
Wednesday, November 30 @ 8am - 2:30pm
Thursday, December 1 @ 8 am-2:30 pm
Friday, December 2 @ 10 am-12 pm
Browse through the digital flyer or flyer that will come home with your student the week of the book fair for some examples of titles that will be available at the fair.
Cash or Ewallet accepted - easy, cash-free payment option your child can use for shopping *Please note that unused funds will remain in your child’s account for the next book fair.
***All items require 7.85% sales tax to be added to the cost of each purchase.***

From the Healthroom
As we are entering cold and flu season we would like to remind everyone of the guidelines for coming to school during this time.
1. Be fever free for at least 24 hours WITHOUT the use of fever reducing medications.
2. Be vomit/diarrhea free for at least 24 hours before returning.
3. Be on an antibiotic for at least 24 hours before returning.
4. If coughing- it should be well controlled and no longer persistent.
5. Be feeling well enough to make it through the day.
We encourage everyone to drink plenty of fluids, get plenty of sleep, blow your nose and wash your hands frequently! If you ever have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to call us at 816-986-2272. Thank you and stay well!

Lunch Visitors - Reminder
*Visitors may bring lunch and eat with their child Monday-Thursday (no visitors on Fridays)
*No lunch visitors two weeks before winter break
- We have very limited space. Visitors will eat lunch in the work room in the front office. If this space is full you will need to eat outside at the picnic tables on the north side of the building. Be weather aware when making lunch plans.
- If a person other than a parent/guardian is wanting to have lunch with a student we must have permission from the parent prior to the visitor arriving.
- You may only each lunch with your child, they may not bring a friend with them.
- Your visit is limited to lunch only. As soon as you are done eating with your child you will need to check out through the front office.
