The Kirk Fenton Pro
Weekly newsletter for staff 22nd February 2019
Hello!
So we have reached the halfway point of the year and the weather is looking brighter and the days are getting longer. We are on the downhill run now with all the joys of spring and summer ahead.....
This week a reflection on the gifted child
We can all pick out a gifted child. They are the ones who sigh and raise an eyebrow when someone else makes a mistake, usually followed by a polite question used to set the record straight and to let people know that they know.
Give these children patience to cope with what they see as others' short-comings!
Give us too patience, wisdom and humility: patience to cope with the frustrations of teaching these children where their brightness stands out; wisdom to accept that although they have greater potential than I have, there is still much that I can teach them; humility to take joy in their successes and their insights.
But above all, let them - with all their gifts and potential - have a normal, happy childhood, before they have to assume the burdens and responsibilities that their gifts will inevitably bring.
Have a great half term,
Karen x
