Updates for Week of 10/23/17
THANK YOU!
I am also proud of you all for staying on top of your students that had to stay back to complete their work because they didn't have it done. It's not easy keeping after your students when they aren't turning in their work. In fact, it is down right frustrating and exhausting! The important thing to remember is that we must hold students accountable. It is too easy to allow them to take a zero (or any other number of low grades). I want our reputation to become one in which everyone knows that LMS does not allow our students to give up on themselves. We require every student to do every assignment and to master the standards.
Friday's celebration was just the beginning. It is my hope that it proved a point to our students that hard work pays off and those that show it to us will be rewarded for it.
Thank you for ALL that you do for our students on a regular basis!

View from the Outside
This past week, I had two different visitors to our school compliment our students and their behavior. It is because of your endless efforts that these comments are able to made, so I wanted to be sure to share them with you.
From a Y Mentor:
Also, in the halls and waiting for my student at the cafeteria, I am impressed at how many students smile at me and wave. You guys can certainly take credit for that friendliness.
From someone from Central Services:
I am so impressed with how your students move throughout the hallways. I really felt like I was in a high school. Great job on teaching them your expectations.
