Adventure Club Information for the 2021-22 School Year: Waiting List Opens Friday at 10 a.m.
Historically, enrollment for this program is more than 750 students. It is our goal to work towards achieving a similar number.
The process this year is different than in year's past. We will first need families to place their child(ren) on the waitlist. The waitlist link will go live on Friday, May 14 at 10 a.m. and all families will start on the waitlist. Please visit the Adventure Club website on Friday, May 14 to join the waitlist.
Then, when a spot becomes available, families will receive information to officially register their child(ren) into Adventure Club.
We need to start with a smaller number of openings while we transition back to offering Adventure Club again. This rollout is important to ensure our procedures are in place and effective.
Again, the waitlist link will go live on Friday May 14 at 10:00 am. On the Adventure Club website and this is the first step in 2021-22 Adventure Club enrollment.
If you have any questions, please contact Mandy Rose.
Annual Update - If your student is currently enrolled in KSD schools and you plan on your student attending KSD schools for the 2021-22 school year, this process needs to be completed.
Now is the time for the primary contact for student(s) who are currently enrolled in the Kirkwood School District to complete the Annual Update for the 2021-22 school year. We really appreciate those who have already completed this process as it helps in our planning for next school year.
If your student is currently enrolled in KSD schools and you plan on your student attending KSD schools for the 2021-22 school year, this process needs to be completed. This deadline is extended to Monday, May 17. To clarify, the “primary contact” is the parent/guardian whose address is used as the main address for the student. Only a parent/guardian who resides at the “primary contact” address is responsible for completing this process for each student.
The Annual Update process is completed in Infinite Campus. Infinite Campus refers to this process as “online registration” (please see screenshot below for complete instructions). Please note: this is an annual process, therefore referred to as the “annual update”
If you are enrolling a new student to K-12 KSD schools, who currently DOES NOT attend a K-12 KSD school, you may add the new student to this Annual Update process while you are completing the annual update for another student.
The Annual Update process is necessary to ensure we have accurate important student information, such as addresses, phone numbers, emergency contacts, and medical needs. Whether your child is learning in person or at home, this information is very important. We are committed to your child's health and safety, but we need your help. Please take a moment to complete the Annual Update including medical information sections. This critical and confidential health information will enable us to provide the safest and most individualized care to our students. Together, we can help manage your child's chronic health conditions and help them stay safe and healthy at school.
This is information for the 21-22 school year and parents are required to complete it through Infinite Campus. Please note that if you have a change of address from last school year, you must upload new proofs of residency. You will not be able to progress beyond the first screen if you do not have the two proofs of residency available for submission.
If you know your Infinite Campus login, information please do the following:
Click on the menu icon on the top left
Click “More” on the bottom of the menu
Click “Online Registration”
If you have never logged in to Infinite Campus or forgot your username/password, please fill out the Infinite Campus Account Assistance Form. By completing this form, the Technology team can provide you with assistance.
Once you are logged in, please keep in mind the following:
Required fields are marked with a red asterisk.
Please be careful of spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. The District will receive the data exactly as it is entered.
Dates should be entered as MM/DD/YYYY and phone numbers as xxx-xxx-xxxx.
Thank you in advance for your time in completing this important information for your student(s). Please complete this by Sunday, May 17.
Thank you
Additional Information about Summer School 2021
We are once again excited that ALL Kirkwood students will have access to terrific summer options through Launch, a virtual course access provider based in Springfield Public Schools. Kirkwood students (K-12) can enroll in enrichment, extension, and/or credit enhancement courses, at no cost to families or to our district. Several specific courses that may be of interest to our families include:
- Themed courses for elementary students, with virtual field trips, arts and PE, and six-hours of daily teacher support, small group, and one-on-one instruction
- Enrichment, remediation, and extended learning classes in middle school
- Adaptive, self-paced academies in reading, math, and coding (Elem & MS)
- ACT Prep for our rising juniors/seniors
We encourage all families to review Launch information on our website at kirkwoodschools.org/summerschool2021. Please note that families interested in Launch programming will register directly with Kirkwood this year, NOT with Springfield School District, eliminating the need for birth certificates and medical records. To register, please complete the KSD Summer 2021 Enrollment in Launch form.
The Daily Enrichment Schedules for 1-5 grade students and Daily Academy schedules for 1-8 grade programs are posted on our Summer School website.
Kindergarten Registration 2021-22: Please Help Spread the Word
Please help us spread the word on registering now for kindergarten in the fall. Schools are working on class lists and room assignments for the 2021-22 school year. It's important that our schools can properly prepare for our newest learners. If you know someone who has a child that will be 5 years old by August 1, 2021, please ask them to register as soon as possible to the Kirkwood School District at: kirkwoodschools.org/register.
