World Mental Health Day

While everyone is different and anxiety stems from many different inputs beyond this list including genetics, mental health Therapist Trey Tuckers says too much information, not enough healthy outlets through physical movement, and lack on finding meaning and purpose in one's life can contribute to the spike in worldwide anxiety.
4. Those who are dealing with anxiety can help themselves by talking to trusting others about their feelings and a making a connection.
TRUE: Talking to empathic others allows people to let loose the internal emotions they are battling and to feel connection and support.

Come celebrate Halloween with the Community Mental Health Authority Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties! CMHA-CEI invites CMHA-CEI employees, their families, consumers, and their families and/or caregivers to a FREE Trunk or Treat event that will take place on 812 E. Jolly Rd. in the Employee Parking Lot. Join them for music, giveaways, and LOTS of free candy.
During this free event, you will have an opportunity to meet several CMHA-CEI teams and learn about our services/programs.

Mental Health Text Hotlines
- National Alliance on Mental Illness Texting HelpLine.Help-seekers can now text “HELPLINE” to 62640 between 10 a.m.–10 p.m. ET, Monday–Friday.The free, peer-support service provides information, resource referrals and support to people living with a mental health condition, their family members and caregivers, mental health providers and the public.
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (now known as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). When people call, text, or chat 988, they will be connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing Lifeline network. These trained counselors will listen, understand how their problems are affecting them, provide support, and connect them to resources if necessary.
