General engineering is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary program which combines basic sciences, and engineering design. They have to know how to include engineering with business to succeed in both engineering and non-engineering careers.
Day to day responsibilities
- Assistance in planning and coordinating engineering projects
- Support in conducting energy audit and implement audit recommendations.
- Provide assistance to other Engineers when needed.
- develop preventive maintenance programs and support in energy conservation improvements.

The degree required to become one is a bachelors degree.
General engineering degrees are common in many university's like: ITT Tech, Full sail University, Baylor university, etc.
