Digital Access
Digital Access is when people have the ability to use the internet. Many people in the world have access to the internet while some people in the world do not even have access to a computer near them. In 2014, America had 279,834,232 internet users.
Digital Etiquette
Digital Etiquette is respecting people online and giving them space. Treating people on the internet should be how you should treat people in real life. On the internet we should only say things that are respectful and positive. When saying things to people we have to think about how other people feel. There are about 1,400 + abbreviations in the world today, this is a negative thing because texting or emailing people with abbreviations in not proper Digital Etiquette.
Digital Laws
Digital Law is when you follow a set of rules to use the internet many laws have been enforced about how we should use the internet. Out of all 50 states in America only 34 of those states have laws against cyberbullying. The states that don't have laws passed for cyberbullying are: Alabama, Connecticut, Hawaii, Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
Digital Rights and Responsibilities
Digital Rights and Responsibilities are set of things on the computer that you have rights to do. Digital Rights can also mean your accessibility on the computer. Responsibilities on the computer means how you act on the computer. Many people in the world are underage in Social Medias, which means that cyber bullying is common. About 7.5 million users are underage on Facebook, this means that 7.5 million people choose to violate the rule for age on social medias and they are not using their responsibilities and rights for a computer in a positive way.
Digital Commerce
Digital Commerce means the purchasing and selling things using the internet. There are many sites that can be use for selling and purchasing things like ebay or Amazon. Customers buying things on the internet need to be aware of the things they buy and who the owner is. even if the owner gets many good reviews and you definitely know the owner, you still have to be sure they are not going to trick you. Each year, four million people are tricked buying things online.
Digital Communication
Digital Communication means talking to anyone using computers, phones, tablets, or anything digital. There are many Social Media sites that are used to communicate with people that have internet in the world. On Facebook, Twitter, or any Social Media. You can also use texting to communicate with people using your phone number. Digital Communication is accessible to everyone that have digital devices. There are many apps that can be used for communication the top most used social media are: Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
Digital Literacy
Digital Literacy means using knowledge that you know and put it in some kind of form of document. In the modern days many information is now put on the internet, this is a type of Digital Literacy. You can also share information or knowledge using Digital Literacy. Many schools now are using technology rather than textbooks. In America 89 percent of teachers and 76 percent of parents rather pay for technology than pay for text books.
Digital Health and Wellness
Digital Health and Wellness means to keep yourself healthy online, it could also mean mentally, keeping yourself safe on the internet. Staring at a screen, arching your back when looking at a computer, or looking to close are all negative health issues with digital devices. If your back is not in a good position when using a digital device your back to suffer from aching. Looking to close to the computers could make your eyes tired and it can also increase how bad your eyesight is. Many people do not feel safe on the internet. When questioning people 6,678 people about do they feel safe on the internet about 88% of them feel safe.
Digital Security
Digital Security means to protect your personal and important information and not telling any thing to any one that could make you unsafe. Digital Security could also mean protecting your digital identity, not letting anyone to steal it. In the modern society many people are trying their best to prevent stealing any Digital Identities.
