Dear Spencer Families,
We had an amazing turnout at the Trunk-or-Treat event last night. It is an incredible feeling to be part of such a strong school community and I am grateful for everyone who comes together to make events such as this happen. I believe it is safe to say that students, staff and parents alike had a great time!
Weather permitting, we will have our Halloween parade around the exterior of the building on Monday at 9:30 AM. If you wish to come and watch the parade, you may line up outside to view those spooky costumes. Please remember to not gather or block the sidewalks as this will be the parade route for the students. We are keeping our fingers crossed for good weather on Monday morning! Should the need arise for us to cancel the parade, you will receive an email by 8:30 AM on Halloween morning.

Parents - THANK YOU for packing a change of clothes in your child's backpack every day. Now that the weather is changing, please make sure that the clothes you pack are weather appropriate. This is for ALL grades, you never know when your student may have a nosebleed, or lose a tooth, or spill food on their shirt, or find a mud puddle outside, or have an accident. We have already had to contact quite a few families to come up with a change of clothing. If your student keeps a change of clothes in their backpack, then we can take care of it here, otherwise we will need you to bring up a change of clothing. Thank you for your cooperation.
Hello Spencer Families-
Our Art to Remember projects will start to come home with your student’s personalized code to locate their information on the A2R portal. It’s easy to use and the kids are so excited!
There are many fun items to choose from and the proceeds help to fund our art room.
Orders can be placed and sent directly to you or sent here to school. In order to secure holiday orders on time, please submit your Art to Remember orders by Friday, November 11th.
We appreciate you supporting the Spencer Art Studio.
*The approximate date for orders to arrive back at school is December 5th.

What a great night for Trunk or Treat! Thank you to everyone who came out to make it such fun!
As part of the Roadrunner Run incentives, we chose to donate 15% of the earnings above the goal of $12,500 to the charity of choice of the grade level that brought in the most money. Our 2nd Grade teams have chosen to split the pot and donate $917.23 each to We Walk the Line and Child's Play.
I was made aware that the teacher's wish list links were a little wonky and deterred a lot of people. I have gone through all wish lists and instead of posting the link to their Amazon wish lists, I have posted links to each individual item FROM their lists and extended the deadline. If you would like to take a look at what your student's teacher(s) would love to have in their classrooms, take a look at the sign-up genius here.
Lastly, we will be doing a cold weather gear drive for new and gently used items in the month of November. More details will be available next week.

I am so excited to continue working with students this year to help facilitate and promote growth and learning! I am providing classroom lessons, small group activities, and individual support this school year.
As a reminder, your school counselor is here to support children in all areas of mental wellness that impacts their success in the classroom. We work with individuals as needs arise. If your child is struggling at school, we will work together with the classroom teacher to determine whether or not school-based services would be beneficial. We may also be able to offer resources or contacts if your family believes that outside support will best meet your child's or families needs.
The Elementary Counselor Team also has the BAS Elementary Counseling website for ideas and resources to be used at home! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have, and I will do my best to support your child.

- If your student does test positive for COVID-19, report the student’s illness to the school.
- Also report the student’s illness to LCHD using the COVID-19 Self-Reporting Form for Students and School Staff
