National STEM Day celebrates advances in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

Thank you to our fantastic teachers and parents who volunteered to make this day so memorable for our students!
Standards Mastery Connect - Benchmark Assessments
Dear Parents,
Our 3rd – 5th grade students will be completing a Reading Benchmark Assessment and Mathematics Benchmark Assessment on Tuesday, November 13th and Wednesday, November 14th. Results from these assessments will be used by the School’s Academic Team to continue providing individualized academic support to students to ensure mastery of all required grade level standards.
We need your support by making sure students are well rested, eat a good breakfast, and communicating to them the importance of putting forth their very best effort during testing.
i-Ready Diagnostic 2
All K-5 students will be taking the second iReady Adaptive Diagnostic Test in Reading and Mathematics to all K-5 students starting Monday, December 3rd.
Specific testing dates will be shared by classroom teachers.
What is an adaptive diagnostic?
Adaptive Diagnostics are tools that provides a customized evaluation of every student and tracks students’ growth and performance consistently and continuously over a student’s entire K–12 career.
Based on the Diagnostic results, i-Ready automatically provides individualized online and teacher-led instruction targeted to each student’s unique needs. In addition, easy-to-read reports provide teachers with a detailed action plan for individual and group instruction and the tools to deliver that instruction in any style learning environment.
Please make sure students are well rested, eat a good breakfast, and an emphasis is placed the importance of putting forth their very best effort during testing. In addition, please make sure your child has a pair of headphones available at school to use during testing.

Club Spotlight!
Gardening Club - Ms. Brawner
"Garden club has two separate gardens growing right now. There are flowers in the front garden boxes and vegetables in the back. Our Caladiums in the front we grew from bulbs and all of our vegetables we grew from seeds. On Friday, we picked our first two green beans from our vegetable garden and all tried them. We were so excited to get to try vegetables from our own garden!! Moving forward we have plans for composting, and a butterfly garden."
