2nd Annual Holiday Lights Show

Do you love to decorate your house with holiday lights and decor? SBHS SCA is hosting our 2nd annual Holiday Lights Show. Register your house via this Google Form by December 10th for the show that will take place on December 17th at 7:30 PM. We will include your house on a map of the best-decorated houses in the Stone Bridge community for everyone to follow the route!

10th Grade Chromebook Refresh

During study hall yesterday and today, 10th-grade students were pulled to trade in their current school-issued Chromebook for a newer device. If you were absent during study hall this week and have not yet received your new device, please stop by the Tech Help Desk before school or during study hall next week (located right inside the library).

Senior Capstone Information

From May 25, 2022, to June 8, 2022, qualifying seniors are excused from classes in order to pursue a community service project or career development opportunity. Students must complete a total of 50 hours for this year’s senior capstone. You can find the following forms and information on the Stone Bridge website under Activities/Senior Capstone:

Partners for Safe Teen Driving Presenations

**The next Partners for Safe Teen Driving Presentation will be held on December 7th.


Please complete this Google Form to register for it. Only Stone Bridge students can attend, and the full log-in details will be emailed out to all confirmed students on the day of the presentation. Each date is limited to 250 participants in total. Each family should log in on the student's LCPS Chromebook, and an adult and student must both be present and visible on camera during the presentation.

Governor's School Opportunities

Attention Sophomores and Juniors

Virginia Governor’s Schools provide some of the state’s most able students academically and artistically challenging programs beyond those offered in their home schools. With the support of the Virginia Board of Education and the General Assembly, the Governor’s Schools presently include summer residential, summer regional, and academic-year programs serving more than 7,500 gifted students from all parts of the commonwealth. Applications must be completed online, printed, and submitted to Mr. Lucas. Do not staple your application. Completed applications must be submitted to Mr. Lucas by December 13, 2021. DO NOT send electronically to the Department of Education. Our division is Loudoun, and the school code is 053-0850. Tim Lucas is the contact, and tim.lucas@lcps.org is the email address.

HOBY Youth Leadership Conference

Sophomores are invited to apply to the HOBY Youth Leadership conference that will take place in person in May/June 2022. The HOBY Mission: To inspire and develop our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service, and innovation. Up to three Bulldogs may be selected this year. The cost to attend is $250. If you’d like to be considered, please complete this Google Form by November 30, 2021. For more information, please visit the HOBY website.

Pamplin Leadership Award

Seniors who would like to be considered as Stone Bridge’s candidate for the Pamplin Leadership Award at Virginia Tech should complete this Google Form by December 5, 2021. Details about the $5,000 scholarship to Virginia Tech can be found here.

Library Update

The library is looking for donations of baby food-size jars for an upcoming Maker Space event. We are looking for jars with lids that are between 5 ounces and 8 ounces.

Wreaths Across America

Stone Bridge Class of 2023 is supporting the laying of Wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. Please help us ensure that there are enough wreaths for all the graves by purchasing one for $15.00 using our specific link below. Sales end on November 30th, 2021.

Writing Center

The Bulldog Writing Center is now open every day during lunch. Upperclassmen who are taking AP or DE English serve as tutors in the Writing Center by helping peers at any stage of the writing process. The tutors are ready to collaborate with student writers as they brainstorm, outline, edit, and more.

Student Tutoring

Peer Tutoring for the 2021-22 school year at SBHS is now up and running. Please complete this form carefully to request a tutor for a student in a particular subject area. You must fill out a form for each subject you would like assistance with.


Students who are requesting tutors should be checking their email regularly as you will receive an email with details regarding your tutoring start date and time.
