Tyngsborough Elementary School
1/28/18 Update
Message from Dr. Flanagan - Your Support is Needed
As identified in our district vision statement, the Tyngsborough Public Schools depends upon a partnership with our community to maximize the educational experience for our students and prepare them to positively impact our world. To accomplish this, several parent groups work tirelessly to raise funds and support our schools and students at different points throughout their TPS experience. We have come to rely heavily on our community groups as an integral part of our school operations. We appreciate their collaboration and support as we strive to provide an outstanding education and comprehensive experience for our students. Currently, the Parent Teacher Organization, the Education Foundation of Tyngsborough, and the Tyngsborough Scholarship Trust, are dealing with a shortage of board members and volunteers to advance their mission of supporting our students.
Regularly in our schools, teachers help students understand the importance of community involvement and volunteerism. This is evident in the numerous leadership clubs, academic courses and after school activities that our students organize, participate in and lead. As an educational community, we regularly rally around a cause or initiative that benefits our community.
Please accept this letter as an impassioned plea for your support. Our end goal is to create a database of volunteers with diverse backgrounds, who are willing to serve on a board/committee or simply be able to volunteer time and effort to one of our parent groups. This database will then be shared with all parent groups so that we can maximize our resources for the benefit of our students and help these important organizations remain vibrant and impactful. Clicking this link to our volunteer form will provide you an opportunity to identify a particular skill set you have, or an area of interest you may share, to support one of our parent groups.
I am extremely proud of the great work of our community in supporting our school district. If you can help in any way, please know that we would truly appreciate it. Thank you for your time and effort.
Sincerely,
Michael Flanagan, Ed.D.

Traffic Flow Video
We continue to have concerns with the arrival and dismissal process at TES. Please take a moment to review the traffic flow video. Families dropping off in the morning should not be getting out of the car or waiting until your child enters the building.
We truly appreciate your cooperation so that we can ensure safety and timeliness for all.
