Honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.
"Life's most persistent and urgent question is: What are you doing for others?"
-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
This quote from Martin Luther King Jr. reflects the life he chose to live as a pastor and leader of the civil rights movement in America with a message of opportunity for all grounded in his Christian faith.
Every year our nation celebrates the life of Martin Luther King Jr. with commemorative events, marches, celebrations and service projects. (see Sacramento's events here) Serve Sacramento would like to invite YOU to answer the question, "What are you doing for others?" by joining us this Saturday at the Season of Service kick-off event in Oak Park. It's going to be an amazing morning of going out to offer tax assistance information to families who may benefit! The Details are below!
Martin Luther King Jr. believed that change happens when communities serve and work together. We do too! I hope you join us!

Upcoming Event: Undivided movie Premier
On Thursday February 5th, cities all across the US will be premiering a timely documentary called Undivided, a story about a church/school partnership. Sacramento's viewing of the film will be at Guild Theater.
Undivided documents the true story of how a suburban church unites with at-risk Roosevelt High School—once Portland, Oregon’s most outstanding but now failing and slated for closure—to create a beautiful transformation for students, the school and the volunteers serving it.
If you are a school administrator, teacher, outreach leader or pastor at your church, or if you believe every school matters, we want you there! Get tickets here!
