Personal Sick Leave Bank Donations:
It’s that time again for the open donation period to the Personal Sick Leave Bank. Have you ever found yourself wondering how you can help a co-worker going through a challenging time? Now is your opportunity to help! You may donate a portion of your personal /sick time to the bank and assist a faculty member who may need to take time away that doesn’t fall under our other paid time policies. The open donation period will begin today and end on Tuesday, February 16th. Please note there will be no further open donation periods for the remainder of the 15-16 school year. See Sarah S-C for details.
Open position:
Oak Farm currently has an open teacher position in our Upper Elementary program. Montessori certification is not a requirement, but is a big plus and the ideal candidate will have two years’ experience in an elementary setting. Please pass the word on to fellow Montessorians or teacher contacts. If you have a professional LinkedIn account, feel free to share it there as well. Take a look at Macy McNaughton’s LinkedIn page for an example of how you may choose to post and also connect with her to see what the Oak Farm Communications Director is up to. We are asking all candidates to submit a cover letter and resume’ to sshanton@oakfarmschool.com.
Kickin' it with Kelly!
Classroom Inventories:
Some of you may remember the long process of gathering classroom inventories from our accreditation process. The good news is this has been completed once before so the hard part should be done. The bad news is we need to review these lists and work on bringing them up to date. Knowing this is going to be a long process and also realizing that it isn’t on anyone’s priority list I would like to help simplify this process with everyone. I would love to schedule a time with your level so I can sit down and work through some of the logistics of getting this process started. Please plan on letting me know when this will work best in your schedule. If a level meeting isn’t possible I can meet with the classrooms individually. I would love to have these meetings completed by the end of February, so if I don’t hear from you I’ll definitely be in touch.
