New Amazon Prime Protocols
The district is switching over to a new Amazon Prime Business Account: Please Read Thoroughly!
We are going to be changing our protocol for ordering on Amazon and switching to a business Prime account. This change is taking place district wide over the next two weeks. More information will be forthcoming. Once we have made the switch, we will no longer be using the Spring Lake Prime Account. Watch for more detail coming about the switch - every teacher will sign up and have their own account embedded in the school account.
There will be many benefits including access to over 8,000 products that are only available on business prime and automatic tax exempt buying on all orders. It will also enable Renae to keep accurate track of who has placed an order as this has been a problem in the past.
The one drawback is that your Nebo email address will be linked to the account and if you have a personal Amazon account that uses your Nebo Address, you will need to change your personal account to your personal email address. When we roll things over, you will be given instructions on how to make the change. I wanted you to have this information ahead of time so that you can prepare.

Math Adoption Next Year
As many of you are aware, the district is in the middle of a math adoption. The publishers had programs on display at the Summit Center right before Christmas. The rubrics were used to review and score each program. Let me know if you are interested in looking at those rubrics (they are available in my office - come in any time!) Plan on having new curriculum materials for next year!
Summative Observations - Schedule Yours Today!
Several teachers still need to have their summative observations for this year. Please schedule as soon as possible - I will personally email teachers who need to be observed.
State Risk Assessment Audit Results (Action Needed):
As you know, the state risk assessment auditor was here a few weeks ago and I have received his official report of findings for Spring Lake. We have to resolve and fix everything before he returns for a surprise follow-up visit which will be in March/April. Here are the things we need to fix:
- Broken Playground equipment on back playground & asphalt cracks (district will fix)
- Clutter in hallways, stairwells, storage closets (I will personally talk to teachers listed in the audit)
- Finger guards on paper cutters (I will order new paper cutters - any suggestions or special requests?)
- Daisy chained cords throughout the school (I will be coming around to help all teachers fix this and get in to compliance - will order special cords as needed).
- Combustible decorations on walls and in classrooms (I will meet individually with teachers to fix these items).
- Rugs in hallways that pose risk/hazard (this has already been taken care of).
