Ms. Monica and Ms Deanna’s snack calendars are now on our website.
Upcoming Primary events:
New work in the classroom includes: Math works completed: Teen Board, Bank Game addition exchange, Numerals & Counters. Science: Ms Monica’s classroom- Birds, Ms. Deanna’s classroom: Birds and Whales. Geography: Antarctica in Ms Deanna’s class, North America in Ms Monica’s class. One of the highlights this week was whale measurement. We learned that approximately 3 children measure as long as the Narwhal whale, 22 children and 3 adults are as long as a Blue Whale. We measured our heights to other whales as well and then recorded our findings onto a Whale Graph.
Thank you so much for coming to our Parent teacher Conferences this week. If you have not been able to complete the parent survey, please do so as soon as possible.
March 15th, Tuesday 9-10:30 am: Preschool and Kindergarten early registration for Preschool and Kindergarten slots for 2022/2023 school year. It is very helpful for us to have our preschool and kindergarten parents come to the school on this day for early registration. At registration you will fill out much of the necessary paperwork and secure your preschool slot for the following year. If you have a preschool child that you would like to receive CPP funding for their preschool slot for the next school year, the CPP representatives will be at school that morning from 9 - 10:30 am to take applications and give out the applications/ forms necessary for a CPP slot. If your child would like to attend registration with you, they may, or if it is easier to fill out paperwork alone, that works fine too.
March 17, Thursday- Class photos will be taken. Monica and Sheilla’s room will have their class photo taken at 11:20 am. Deanna and Lanamae’s room will have their class picture taken at 10:20 am. Please put this important date on your calendar. Fun St. Patrick’s Day activities will take place as well.
In the month of April- Our school will be participating in a fun READ-A-THON fundraiser. Paperwork will be sent out in the Friday folder at a later date. Please watch for this important paperwork. Please think about who your child could ask (family member, friends) for a sponsorship. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to assist our school to raise necessary funds for their May class field trips and to cover necessary expenses.
Enjoy your family time this weekend!
