Remote Learning Feedback

Thank you!
4th Quarter Grade Communication
During COVID closure, our top priority is the health and well being of our students and families. While we encourage you to participate in the learning opportunities Buckalew is providing, we also know that this can be overwhelming. In regards to grades, we all continue to feel strongly that the 4th quarter (after spring break) should not negatively impact any child. As we have been doing the last 3 weeks, we will continue : trying to engage all students (online or paper), providing feedback to your child, and encouraging work completion at this time. As as district, we have all just received these new grading guidelines. If you are completing paper packets only, please hang onto these completed packets until we have further direction. Teachers will be working as grade levels using these guidelines below for a 4th quarter grade, reiterating that this last quarter grade will not negatively impact any child. Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate these waters of remote learning and this process. We are asking for your feedback by completing the survey above. At a minimum for parents, we ask that you communicate to your child's teacher how we can best support you and your child at this time. The attached guidelines are below in PDF form that were sent out through email by Conroe ISD on the evening of 4/8/20.

This week's guidance lessons focus on EMOTIONS. Fear, anger, sadness, and disappointment are just a few of the many emotions your child may be currently facing. I hope your family will catch both my Thursday Facebook lesson and my weekly Canvas site lesson to support your child through these big emotions.
