Technology Preparation for Winter Break

As we prepare to close schools for the Winter Break, we should remain mindful of being prepared for the first day of school in the new year. The goal of the Information Technology (IT) Department is to have ALL technology work properly the day teachers return. To accomplish this goal, we will need the help and cooperation of ALL departments, school administrators and teachers.

Please turn off all projectors, scanners and television sets unless there is a specific reason that they need to be left on. Printers should be left on as they will go to sleep on their own.

All computers will be shut down during the break. If your computer must remain online, please contact IT to let us know.

The time frame after a long break is always stressful. By working together and following the above procedures, we can reduce stress by eliminating unnecessary technology problems.

We want to thank you in advance for your cooperation and support. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the IT Customer Care Center at 231-7436.

Technology Proficiency Requirements

If you missed the November and December Technology Thursdays with Arischa Frierson, you have missed some very important information. At the November session, Arischa discussed the new requirments for Technology Proficiency. If you did not attend this session, please see me to get a copy of that document. She spent more time during her December visit going over this information with those teachers who missed the first session. She also shared with us her Edmodo group where she will be able to find additional information. If you did not attend this session, the Edmodo group code is 7xknnj. Please join this group as soon as you can. If you still have not setup your Edmodo account, please contact me to get the school code.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
