Sammy Davis Jr. started performing with the Will Mastin Trio, He also started sing on his own in nightclubs and recording records. Davis's career started to rise with the trio for Frank Sintara who he stayed friends for all his life. Sammy Davis Jr. soon went on a tour with Mickey Rooney. His performance caught the attention of Decca Records and soon signed Sammy Davis Jr. to a recording contract. After a serioues injure car accident, Davis released his first two albums, "Starring Sammy Davis Jr." and "Sammy Davis Jr."

Sammy Davis Jr. was born in December 8, 1925 in Harlem, NYC in New York. He died in May 16, 1990 in Beverly Hills, California. Sammy Davis Jr. was married three times. He was married to Loray White, Britt, and Altovise Gore. He had a biological daughter and adopted two sons with Britt but then, later on, remarried Altovise Gore. Altovise Gore stayed with him until Davis died, they had adopted another son as well. After splitting with Britt, Davis had problems with addictions with alcohol and drugs. This time of his life ate a lot of his money for sure. Sammy Davis Jr. soon published the autobiography, "Yes I Can: The Story of Sammy Davis Jr." Followed by "Why Me?" Another autobiography called "Sammy" was released posthumously while the biography "In Black and White: The Life of Sammy Davis Jr." was published.
