It is located in the Southeastern Asia archipelago between the Philippine Sea and the South China Sea. Coordinates are 13 00 N, 122 00 E. The Philippines is slightly larger than Arizona. The climate is tropical has northeast monsoon (November to April). It's natural resources are timber, petroleum, nickel, cobalt, silver, gold, salt, copper.

The Philippines is home to the world's biggest Crocodile species, the Saltwater Crocodile.
