The Day the Crayons QuitWe spent time this week discussing our color words. We read the book "The Day the Crayons Quit" along with many other color books. | Thank you! We had our first big snow of the school year. Thank your for sending your child with the appropriate clothing for winter as the students have LOVED playing in the snow! | Games! Games! Games! This week we learned some different games that the students can play collaboratively. Some of them include; Old Maid, Pop It Game, and Trouble. We talked about working together and helping each other. The students loved it! |

We spent time this week discussing our color words. We read the book "The Day the Crayons Quit" along with many other color books.

What did we learn this week?
Writing: The students are continuing to become experts in our writing process. This week we learned our first editing strategy and began putting the "where" in our sentence. They have done a fantastic job!
Phonics: We continued talking about beginning sounds in words. We learned the poem "The Color Song". Our new high frequency words were "for" and "on." We have also been continued on rhyming, syllables and segmenting words.
Math: We continued to work with the numbers 0-10. We also finished some of our number writing. Next week is patterns. We also learned some fun math games.
