2022 is here!

Dear Lions,

Happy New Year! I hope that your break was relaxing and that you are ready for second semester.

You are not required to have a COVID test, but we are encouraging you to get tested, if you have any symptoms, given the spread of the Omicron variant of COVID. Please be ready to wear you mask and use your sneeze shield at your desk tomorrow. You should also wipe down your desk before you leave the classroom.

Soccer games this week - Girls play Wednesday at YB at 7:30pm vs. Summit Tahoma and on Thursday at 4:30 away at San Mateo High School. Boys play on Tuesday against Woodside High School at 4pm; Wednesday against Summit Tahoma at 5pm at Oak Grove High School and Friday against DCP-Alum Rock at 3:30pm at Independence High School. Boys Basketball plays against Summit Tahoma on Friday at 7pm at Oak Grove High School and against Cindy Avitia on Saturday at 12pm at the Washington United Youth Center. Girls Basketball plays against Cindy Avitia on Saturday at the Washington United Youth Center at 10am.

We are all anxious to see the final grades for the semester. Please be patient as final grades will be submitted today. It was great to see so many students put in overtime to get ready for finals. I hope that you feel proud of the work you have done and are ready to keep the momentum up for the second part of the school year.

In community,

Ms. Silb
