Making an Impact:
Students of Influence
Or perhaps you're a wonderful listener, a powerful leader, or making the world a more beautiful place with your voice, art, music, or spirit.
I've found that it's sometimes difficult for people to recognize their own gifts, so if you see one of your friends shining, and yet unaware of their light, please nominate them. It might be the perfect gift they didn't even know they needed. As for all of you, break the cycle of self-deprecation and nominate yourselves, too!
Don't be shy, we want to hear about what's going on in your lives. <3
Please email: mailto:mryan@bufsd.org

Thinking About Taking the SAT?
In this era of Covid-19 and the waiving of Regents exams last year, it could be more important than ever to take the SAT examination. The SAT is a universally accepted test, and can lead to scholarship opportunities.
Additionally, you may take the SAT multiple times, and your highest math and verbal scores will be combined. With that said, the SAT is a challenging test that is designed to stump you. It's essential to do some prep work because there are learned strategies that will help you achieve a higher score.
However, please remember that regardless of how you do on this exam, no one test can ever define your worth or intelligence as a person. YOU are SO much MORE than a test score!!
Now, let's get into some free resources that will help you get ready for the test! Please click on the buttons below to go directly to the linked resource.
The aforementioned resources also have apps; additionally, check out
Apple's Math Brain Booster app or the Vocab Genius app available for iPhone and Android. Good luck, and if you need a prep book, please reach out to the library!
