School Dismissal Manager

Effective December 14, all parents of car riders will be required to use School Dismissal Manager to check in their child upon arrival in the car rider line. If your child is not checked in, you will be asked to:

1. Pull over to a designated area

2. Show your photo ID

3. To allow the staff on duty time to verify permission to pick up student

WGE started using School Dismissal Manager on November 4th. Thank you to all the parents that have already signed up and started using this feature for car rider dismissal. Once you are in the car rider line, log into the School Dismissal Manager and check in your child. If you have not yet signed up, please follow the directions below for sign up. Also, thank you to the parents, faculty, and students for their patience as we implement this new program. Once it is running smoothly, it will ensure the safety of the students and make dismissal more efficient.

Hello Parents!

WALLACE GREGG ELEMENTARY will begin utilizing a new on-line dismissal management system on NOVEMBER 4th called School Dismissal Manager (SDM). It is dependable, easy-to-use, and can be updated by parents and guardians from the convenience of their smart phones, tablets, and PCs.

Through the on-line dismissal management system, you can:

  • Report student absences and late arrivals

  • Schedule early dismissals from school

  • Make transportation changes as late as 1:30 PM on the current day

… and so much more!

We will begin using SDM for dismissal on NOVEMBER 4th. Before we change to this system, we will provide you with additional information and an email will be sent to you directly from SDM. You should be receiving information this week. The email from SDM will contain important instructions and your personal login credentials. Once you receive your credentials, please use them to log into the new system so that you can begin to familiarize yourself with it and set up your child’s dismissal and routine.

Until NOVEMBER 4th please continue to report transportation changes by sending a note in with your child.

If you do not receive your email by Wednesday October 28, please call the school office and speak with Mrs Nettles or Mrs Briggs. Thank you for your continued support of Wallace Gregg Elementary!

Student Attendance

Attendance is an important factor in student achievement. This school year, students had two choices for enrollment: virtual or hybrid. Whether students are attending school virtually or through the hybrid model (alternating face-to-face instructional days), it is critical that students attend their classes. Students are expected to be physically present or logged into class each day by 7:45 a.m. Please see an explanation of F1S attendance policy below. This information will be sent home with hybrid students and sent via email to virtual students. Thank you for ensuring your child is present each day.
