Report Cards
Report cards went home this past Friday. I hope you got to celebrate the academic growth of your children. They have worked very hard this past trimester to reach grade level proficiencies.
If for some reason your child's report card did not make it home, you can check grades in your child's Aeries portal.
Track and Field
No Track and field this week due to parent teacher conferences.
MIssoula Children's Theater - Rumpelstiltskin
The Missoula Children's theater is a tour team that arrives in a given town with their “little red truck” loaded with set, lights, costumes, props and make-up. Everything it takes to put on a play….with the exception of the cast.
The team will hold an open audition and casts 50-60 local students to perform in their production. The show is rehearsed throughout the week and two performances will be presented at the end of the week, one for our student body and one for family members.
This will be a great opportunity for our students get involved in co-curricular behavior by performing in an arts/fine arts enrichment program. Depending on the role they play, your student may be required to be at practice part of the time or until the end of rehearsal (Most likely to be older students).
This is a great opportunity for students already attending an after school program at the Boys and Girls Club! Please fill out the permission/interest form below.
Additional Information
The audition for the Missoula Children's Theatre production of Rumpelstiltskin will be held on March 27th at 1:45pm in the Georgia Brown Cafeteria. There are roles for those students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Approximately 50-60 of our students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Director. Up to 4 students will be cast as Assistant Directors. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-minutes after the audition.
This is a group audition–no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!
Rehearsals will be conducted every day after school until 7:00pm in Room 34 and in the Cafeteria at Georgia Brown. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role and be available for all scheduled performances.
A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition. Cast members scheduled for the full 4 hours and 15 minutes will be asked to bring a sack lunch, dinner or snack to be eaten during the 15-minute break between sessions.

Visitor's Procedures Reminder
I would like to remind our community of our Security and Safety Protocols at Georgia Brown.
To protect all our students and staff, all gates into the school will be locked between 8 am and 2:15 pm daily. Visitors to the office must call from the gate and an office member will meet you at the gate or call for your students.
All volunteers go through our district background check before being able to work in school, and all visitors/volunteers must present an identification and/or be run through our Raptor system, our integrated school safety software that enables schools to screen visitors and track volunteers.
These procedures are established with our children's safety in mind.
