Husky Happenings

January 14 - 19

From Mr. Martin

Reports cards went out earlier this week. As usual, please reference skyward for current information about your student’s progress.

Last week we had specific lessons that addressed our TRMS PBIS Matrix pdf to parents. Be sure to ask your students what this means to them. We believe it is another part of our school that provides for clear (posted) expectations which we believe promotes student learning.

MINDSET MOMENT: Believe you can and you're halfway there.

The TRMS Ambassadors' Club will once again be hosting a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, also know as Pennies 4 Patients.

Students are encouraged to bring money to their homeroom teachers (5th & 6th grade), and their seminar teachers (7th & 8th grade).

The fundraiser will run from January 14th through February 4th. The class with the most donations will be rewarded with a pasta party catered by Olive Garden.

  1. Online Giving Page: Please share with students, parents, and staff. Encourage them to share as well. This is a quick and easy way to receive donations. The best part is you don’t have to count any coins!
  2. Video Links: and the Just Like You

There are prizes for any student who donates online:

- $10 - Hero Wrist Band

- $25 - Super Sidekick Keychain

- $50 - Hero Squad T-Shirt

-$100 - Hero Squad Champions Club!!!!!!

From Nurse Rhea:

Getting back into the routine of getting up early for school can be difficult following a long break! Encouraging a bedtime routine will help make those early mornings easier! Studies show that school aged children get around seven hours of sleep a night, when they really still need at least nine! Getting a good night’s rest can help promote healthy habits that will last a lifetime!

If you are the parent of a current 6th grade student, please remember that the Tdap vaccine is required for entry into the 7th grade. Documentation of this vaccine can be sent in at any time, and will alleviate some of the stress of starting a new school year in the Fall.
