CTE Update and Certifications
Seniors tested for their CTE Certification this month. We want to celebrate Lance Frierson who has completed two certifications in Web Design and Information Technology! Big Shout out to Eduardo Gomez and Hannah Coile for earning their Information Technology certifications.
The CTE program put together hallway signs using some of our new technology and we're in the process of creating keychains to try out the new 3-d Printer. Vinyl signage was created by the tech team to remind of social distancing expectations, and students have been working hard to prepare for their end of course exams.
If you're interested in having your student join our Information Technology program please have them contact their Crew teacher or Ms. Zuniga at email@example.com. Next year we're hoping to add some more electives including a Game Design course and the possibility of internship courses!!! These future techies will be pioneers in their field. This summer students are offered an exclusive opportunity to take online courses towards more CTE certifications.

Ohio Early College Association
The Charles School at Ohio Dominican University is proud to be a member of the Ohio Early College Association. Representatives from each of the 13 Ohio Early College High Schools meet monthly to share best practices and resources, plan occasional group initiatives, and celebrate our work.
The Charles School at Ohio Dominican University has been a member of Middle College National Consortium (MCNC) since opening the school in 2007. MCNC is a national organization dedicated to increasing the number of high school students across the country who have access to college classes with an integrated support system that positions students for success. Member schools develop and sustain a successful model of collaborative education that expands student's future opportunities.
Our partnership with EL Education empowers our teachers to unleash the potential of their students. EL Education is built on ten design principles that reflect the educational values and beliefs of Kurt Hahn, founder of Outward Bound. These principles also reflect the design's connection to other related thinking about teaching, learning , and the culture of schools.
The parent or guardian of each student enrolled at The Charles School may request information on the professional qualifications of each classroom teacher who provides instruction to their student and the school will provide this information on each applicable teacher in a timely manner.
TCS@ODU is a School-wide Title 1 program, enabling us to receive Federal Funds to ensure that our students receive the support they need to reach and exceed grade level goals in reading and math. We welcome parent involvement in planning, review and improvement of Title 1 programs including the family engagement policy and the schoolwide program plan.
