Nicollet & Sibley County Ag News
September 2023
Educator to You
It's hard to believe September is already here!
As harvest draws near, it is important to remember that safety is first, especially in this busy season. Practicing roadway safety is crucial for not only farmers, but others on the road.
Before hitting the road with farm equipment, check that all lights and flashers are working properly to promote visibility while moving. If you are someone who is sharing the road with farm equipment, remember that they may not be able to move as fast as the speed limit. Add a little buffer time into your commute during the fall and spring and only pass when it is safe and legal to do so.

Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or recommendations for future Extension programs!
Best wishes,
