From Emily Davis...
Thanks to everyone who has been able to submit a reply to the Getting to Know You survey I sent out. I have truly enjoyed learning more about you and making some connections with you! If you haven’t gotten a chance, it’s not too late! Here is the link again: https://forms.gle/ps2ADxcjxCCsD5zH9
I also wanted to let you know that I am trying to visit every classroom soon! I hope to just pop in and be an extra set of hands, talk to kids, join your lesson, etc. If you see me walk in, I don’t need anything, I just want to be a part of your classroom for a little while! If there is a specific activity or time I can help with, please send me an email and I’ll be there!

Food Allergy Protocol
1. treats/rewards
2. parties
3. learning activities
1. Treats/rewards: If you give treats during the day for incentives please try to use non-food related treats as much as necessary. If you do have a food related treat/reward please communicate with your food allergy families what the treat is and if it's allowable. We can NOT allow students to leave the classroom any longer with treat bags or food treats (this includes valentines, Halloween, birthdays or treat baskets - so sorry!!).
2. Parties: If you are having a classroom celebration please communicate with your room mom and any food allergy parents what the food items will be. There are some pretty awesome replacements out there now. (Ask Lexi Contiagini about her party last year). If it's a grade level party please make sure you communicate with the chairperson about food allergies in your classroom.
3. Learning Activities: We are super excited that we get to do food related learning at BES. If you have an allergy student, please communicate with the parents what the activity will be using. You can either choose a choice that is allowable or provide (often the family will sent that in) a replacement item so they are included.
**We are working with our room moms and have a food allergy mom (Tracie Andrews) who is helping us create a great plan so all of our Bobcats are safe and included! Thank you for being such amazing influences for our students.
