Cross Country Heads to State
A huge congratulations to the Daniel Wright Cross Country team! The girls team placed second at sectionals and the boys team placed third. Both teams qualified for State and will compete this weekend in Bloomington/Normal!
The season literally hit the ground running this year and had over 110 athletes involved in cross country.
Some season highlights...
The Warriors competed in the Hawthorn Invite against 25 other schools with seventh-grade girls taking home the championship trophy. There were also top 10 finishers.
At the Patriot Middle School Conference meet, the Warriors battled their way on to win three out of six races. The sixth-grade girls, sixth-grade boys and seventh-grade boys teams were crowned conference champions!!
Please view cross country pictures in our Google Doc Folder and on our Facebook page.

Picture Retake Day Oct. 20
For students who were absent on picture day or students who wish to have their picture retaken, picture retake day will be Wednesday, Oct. 20. Stuart-Rodgers Photography will be taking your student's individual picture. The ordering system has gone electronic. There is no paper order form.
You will receive an email about two- to three weeks after picture day with a link to your proofs that will be located in an online gallery. Each student’s pictures are password protected so there is an individual gallery for each student.
You will log in to the Stuart-Rodgers Photography website and choose your picture package. Parents will view all of the pictures Stuart-Rodgers takes and select the one they like best for their order.
Once you have paid for your pictures, the ones you selected will be mailed to your home free of shipping charges. (Free shipping is valid for two weeks from the date you receive proofs via email.)
Families who do not wish to participate in DW's picture days may arrange to have a photo taken with Stuart-Rodgers. Please reach out to Kathy Onori at Kathy@srphoto.com, who will schedule a photo session in their studio. Stuart-Rodgers will email you proofs as well as submit the picture for the yearbook. There is an additional $10 sitting fee for this service.
