The Manavon Messenger
November 7, 2022
It was an exciting but disappointing weekend with two Philadelphia teams' championships. Both games were exciting match ups, but unfortunately, both the Phillies and the Union did not win. At Manavon, however, our students are rocking success! See below for all the interesting and exciting lessons, activities, and events this past week.
Sincerely,
Dr. Celotto

The Fall Book Fair Is Coming. . .
Get ready! The Scholastic Book Fair is coming our way (YAY!). Choosing their own books empowers kids and inspires them to become Bolder, Prouder, and Stronger Readers. AND—as always—every book they buy earns rewards for our school. The book fair will take place from November 16-18 during the school day on the stage in the gymnasium.
You can also shop at our school’s Online Book Fair. Click on the link below to visit our Book Fair homepage to setup an eWallet and to access the online fair!
Autumn Supports Learning the Five Senses
Mrs. Sinnamon’s class has been engaged in a unit on the five senses this past month. As part of this unit the students took a nature walk to talk about everything they may hear, feel, taste, touch, and smell during Autumn. As they collected nature items they used words like crunchy, crinkly, rough, and soft to describe the leaves and flowers. Afterwards they turned these leaves into some adorable leaf friends!

The Gratitude Challenge in Mrs. Gould's Class
Students in Miss Gould’s 3rd grade writing class are working to complete a Gratitude Challenge for the month of November! They are learning about writing Friendly Letters and the Manavon Character Trait of the month by challenging themselves to write and deliver at least 5 letters expressing gratitude by the end of the month.
