Professional Development Day

February 5th is Professional Development Day. Full of workshops and activities, this day was created to support Fredonia's mission to "challenge and inspire students to become skilled, connected, creative, and responsible global citizens and professionals. No classes will be held during this time so we ask that you encourage your students to participate in one of the many events listed. For a list of the Faculty & Staff events that day, click here.

Pink the Rink

The annual men's hockey event is scheduled for Saturday, February 6, when the Blue Devils - clad in pink jerseys and socks - take on SUNY Canton. This year's event will mark the 10th renewal of Pink the Rink and serves to pay homage to cancer survivors and their families. All proceeds to the game will have benefited the American Cancer Society breast cancer research.

Fredonia Chosen to Lead SUNY Course Scheduling Analysis

Fredonia has been granted $420,000 from SUNY to lead a five-campus consortium in Scheduling for Student Success, a project that seeks to improve course schedules so students have timely access to the courses they need to graduate.

Fredonia will work with Ad Astra Information Systems and four other SUNY partner institutions: the College at Oneonta, the College of Technology at Alfred, Dutchess Community College and Schenectady County Community College.Together, they will conduct a comprehensive analysis that addresses course offerings, course capacity and space utilization.
