Beck Weekly Update

Parent Teacher Conferences - Thursday, Feb. 9

The Winter Session of Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9 from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m. If you have not had a request from your child's teacher, but would like to request a conference, please contact the teacher directly. Conferences can be held in person or virtually, but need to be arranged before Feb. 9.

2nd grade families - Because Mrs. Nader and Mrs. VanDeWinkle are both on medical leave, they will be holding their Parent Conferences after Winter Break. They will send more information upon their return.

6th Grade families - Mr. Knobbe, Mrs. Nawrocki and Ms. Glass will be available during the conference times (4:30 - 7:30) in the gym - just like they did in November. More information was sent home from the 6th grade teachers about this. Please check your child's backpack if you have not seen it yet! :)

Kindness Grams Now on Sale!

What a great way to let students tell others they appreciate their kind qualities - in a sweet way! - with a Kindness Gram! Flyers are available to complete the messages on. Make sure to get yours before the due date - Thursday, Feb. 9.

Each box of Conversation Hearts and the accompanying note will be sold for $1.00. The Candy Boxes with their notes will be delivered to students on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14).

Gym Shorts - News from Mr. Chapp and the Beck Physical Education Class!

TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK! In January, grades K, 1, & 2 used TEAMWORK & COOPERATION to make “statues” of different letters, numbers, and shapes with small, medium, and large groups. These classes also participated in stations to enhance their skill development in various areas.

BUMP-SET-SPIKE!!! Grades 3, 4, 5, & 6 began their volleyball unit in January. Students practiced their overhand and underhand serving, passing (bumping), and setting skills in our PE volleyball games.
