Welcome to Fourth Grade

- Spring Picture Day is coming up on February 20th. Class pictures will also be taken on this day, so make sure your child dresses their very best! You must pre-pay for the Class Picture. Order forms were sent home with your children. Please fill out the order form and have your child return it to their teacher or the front office. You can order online if you wish, just be sure to write the confirmation number on the order form and send it back to school. For the individual student portraits, a package will be sent home about 3 weeks after picture day. You will have the choice to purchase or return the package to the school.

Data unit test is Friday, February 16
Our next unit is customary and metric measurement.
Students will need to:
*identify which unit of measurement is best
*convert units of measurement
The test will be Friday, March 2
Science/Social Studies
I can identify and classify Earth's resources as renewable and nonrenewable resources and identify ways to conserve natural resources. Renewable resources include (air, plants, water, and animals) and nonrenewable resources include (coal, oil, and natural gas).
Renewable and Nonrenewable Resource Vocabulary:

At home:
As a family collect items from around your house that you use everyday. Discuss and sort the items by the natural resources that the items come from. Does your family use mostly renewable or no renewable resources?
From the Teachers
- Parents, please remember to send your children to school with everything they will need to stay warm at recess.
- We would like to encourage your child to bring their electronic device. Electronic devices are being used in music, art, and guidance as well as the content area classes.
- SPARKLE Store will open tomorrow morning! Sparkles are an incentive that we give to our students throughout the day. These sparkles may be used on Fridays to buy privileges in the Sparkle Store. The Sparkle Store is open from 7:30-7:45 a.m. You will find a link below for what your students may buy with their sparkles.
