Week of May 9th

Cline's Corner

Have a great week!

Thank you for your continued focus on our students and ending the year strongly. Remember, please do not break down your classrooms yet. When the classroom breaks down the students realize the end is near! We need to stay committed to engaging students in learning until the very end! I will be around collecting data on student engagement. I want to compare that data to the beginning of the year engagement data to determine our increase in student engagement. The engagement of our students has increased over the past year. Every room I walk into I see students engaged. We must continue that until the very last day! I understand they are getting restless. That may mean more movement/brain breaks in your classroom. Be flexible in your instruction but, do not give up.

Thank you for all you do!

Register for June 1 Standards Based Grading Professional Learning

On June 1st, teachers across the county are coming together at Painted Stone to work in grade level teams to determine what mastery of standards would look like in ELA and Math content in your grade level. Those that attend will learn about the learning progression of standards and how student progress will be reported to families. We will use Marzano proficiency scales to identify mastery of standards. You will receive a stipend for attending. Currently there are not any representatives from Wright attending. It would be great to have Wright teachers attend and give some of your professional input. Click to register.
