WORKING TOGETHER
The Helen Keller PTO is dedicated to making our school the very best it can be. During the year, the PTO sponsors a variety of assemblies and other activities that help enrich the school day. Money for these events is raised through Yankee Candle and other fundraisers throughout the year.
Please support Helen Keller School through our upcoming fundraisers. Last year, we were able to sponsor assemblies for our students, the Cougar Counter, the “Scooper Bowl”, Spring fest and much more. All of this was possible thanks to the generosity of parents.
Everyone is very welcome to attend our PTO meetings. We appreciate the help we have received from so many great volunteers and we look forward to meeting new parents.

November 2019 Volunteer Spotlight
**November Volunteer Spotlight, Eric Alt!!**
Hi. I’m Eric Alt. My family and I have been at Helen Keller since fall of 2018. We have twins in first grade, Madison and Logan. I am a member of Local 399 and my wife is a teacher. I chose to volunteer because I work afternoons and it allows me to see my kids. Plus it’s great to help out the awesome school staff and PTO we have here. I have met great parents along the way so far who have given their time as well. It is very cool seeing your kids face when you’re there. I know it’s hard for most parents to volunteer, but it is worth it even if it’s just a couple times. I’ve had such a great experience with this amazing school. Thank you.
Thank you Eric for all that you do for the Helen Keller School and the PTO! :)
October 2019 Volunteer Spotlight
🍂October Volunteer Spotlight! Manaal Maali-Aldabbagh! 🍂
Hello My name is Manaal Aldabbagh! Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity to be acknowledged as October spotlight! A simple thank you would’ve been great and very much appreciated. I have been a volunteer here at (KELLER) school for the past 12 years since my first born who is a junior at Andrew High School now was here. I love volunteering, helping, making a difference in peoples lives it’s just who I am.
Any chance to help out I never hesitated and would do it again and again for as long as I can! Most importantly I love the look on my baby’s face when she sees me there and all my kids were the same that itself was priceless to me and worth every minute.
Volunteering is not just serving lunch or snacks or ice cream or assisting during fundraisers, it is giving back and showing appreciation to the school and staff that takes care of our kids for hours a day and months out of the year! So this is the least I can do and love it very much!
We’re very grateful for Manaal volunteering often and love having her as a part of our team! 🙌🏻
