Wildfire Elementary School receives an A-rating!
An "A" letter grade signifies: Distinguished performance on the statewide assessment, significant student growth, students are on track to proficiency, and overall performance is significantly higher than the state average.
While we all know that WFES is an amazing place to learn and grow, it is nice to have students and staff recognized. Their continued hard work and dedication has paid off to earn this great accomplishment. All students, staff, and families need to take a bow and celebrate because they are what makes WFES an A-rated school year after year!

Important Conference Reminders
- Any conferences scheduled after October 19th will need to be made directly with the teacher.
- Please arrive prior to your start time so you are not late. Teachers have many parents to meet with and only a finite amount of time to do so.
- Please respect the privacy of others and do not enter the classroom while another conference is taking place.
- Please plan ahead for parking as parking spaces may be limited due to the high number of conferences.
Harvest Parade Information
We encourage parents and families to attend this fun event. We ask that all parents check-in at the front office and line up along both sides of the fence in the bus lane.
If you would like to sign your child out following the parade, please see your child's classroom teacher as they will have a sign-out sheet available for you.

Vaccines Update
Effective August 31st, 2018, Arizona signed a new law that requires all students who are 11 years old, regardless of grade level, to have the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) and the Meningococcal vaccines. Previously, these two vaccines were due at 11 years of age but only in 6th grade. Notices of Vaccine Noncompliance will be sent home throughout the school year as students turn 11. Please keep this new law in mind as you schedule your child's annual well visit and be sure to turn updated vaccine records into the health office.
Flu Season
Flu season is upon us. You can visit the CDC website for more information about the flu and about the flu vaccine. The best way to prevent the flu is to get the vaccine. The flu vaccine cannot give you the flu, but it takes two weeks to build immunity/protection from the flu virus.

Kiss-and-Go Volunteer Opportunities
Our PTO program, Kiss-and-Go, runs on parent volunteers and happens every school day from 8:15-8:45 AM. Parent volunteers assist our younger students in the drop off line by opening car doors and helping them find their way to the playground. This is an easy way to help our youngest and newest students get comfortable with Wildfire Elementary School while making sure they get to where they need to be each morning.
